Search Arapahoe County Arrests

To look up Arapahoe County arrest records, match the source to the event. The jail reports current custody, charges, and bonds. The sheriff or arresting city police department holds its report and booking material. Courts show what prosecutors later filed and how the case ended, while the state repository joins fingerprint-supported arrest cycles with outcomes reported to it. Arapahoe County arrest history is therefore not one list. A complete search may cross several official channels, and every result must be read as an allegation or custody event unless a court record proves a conviction.

Arrest Records in Arapahoe County

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, Aurora Police, Littleton Police, and other agencies can create an arrest report. City reports stay with the city agency. ACSO serves unincorporated areas and provides contracted law enforcement for Centennial, so many Centennial records follow the sheriff's channel. A custodial arrest then creates a separate jail intake record with fingerprints, a booking identifier, preliminary charges, bonds, classification, and a holding location.

An arrest record proves that an agency recorded an arrest or booking. It does not prove guilt. Prosecutors may change, decline, or replace the booking allegations. The court alone records the filed charges and final outcome. Arapahoe County arrest searches must keep those stages apart, especially when a current jail entry has not yet produced a court case.

Arapahoe Detention Lookup Limits

The official Inmate Lookup, Charges and Bonds is the first source for current county custody. Its verified scope includes inmate identity or search results, current charges, bonds, and custody. The embedded interface did not expose a safe sample confirming date of birth, physical traits, housing unit, arresting agency, court date, release detail, or a photo. Those fields should not be assumed.

The official ACSO custody page supplies the county's inmate lookup and its statutory bond notice.

Arapahoe County inmate charges and bonds page

The county source ties the search to live custody and bond information, not to a permanent public arrest gallery.

Call the Arapahoe County Detention Facility at 720-874-3500 when the online lookup does not answer a current-custody question. Victims seeking release notification can press 7. A person absent from the current roster may have been released, transferred, held by another agency, or never booked into the county facility. Absence is not a clean arrest-history result.

Arapahoe County Arrest Lookups

No single Arapahoe County arrest search covers current custody, incident narratives, city police files, filed charges, and statewide history. Begin with the source closest to the event. Use identifying facts carefully, then confirm an arrest allegation against later court records before drawing a conclusion.

  1. Check the official inmate lookup for present custody, charges, and bonds, or call 720-874-3500.
  2. Request an ACSO case report, booking information, or clearance letter through ACSO InfoRequest, by mail, or at the records counter.
  3. Ask Aurora or Littleton police for a city arrest report when that city agency made the arrest.
  4. Search the Colorado Judicial docket and request court documents to learn what was filed and how the case ended.
  5. Use CBI ICHC or a fingerprint-based personal review for fingerprint-supported Colorado history reported statewide.

Keep the ACSO request number and exact email address. Both are required to check status. Records are processed in received order and are not immediately available. Status help is available at 720-874-3875 or ACSOrecords@arapahoegov.com.

Arapahoe Arrest Requests by Channel

Use InfoRequest rather than the county's generic CORA form for ACSO criminal-justice records. The portal asks for contact details and facts tied to the event, such as a subject name and birth date, location, approximate date, or date range. Its request types include case or incident reports, in-custody reports, booking photos, background or clearance letters, digital evidence, and juvenile records. Juvenile requests require relationship and identity details.

The portal is not optimized for phones or tablets, so ACSO recommends a desktop or laptop. In-person requests go to Administration and Records at 13101 E. Broncos Parkway in Centennial, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., excluding county holidays. Mail requests may use the AC 789 form. Current fees include $9 for the first 15 minutes of search, retrieval, redaction, and preparation, then $36 per hour. Printed pages cost $0.25 each after the first ten.

ACSO's records request questions page explains payment, status retrieval, device limits, and the boundary between sheriff and court records.

Arrest Records: What They Contain

An agency report and a jail booking entry capture different parts of an Arapahoe County arrest. The report documents the agency's account and probable-cause basis. Booking records document intake, fingerprints, preliminary allegations, bond, and custody. Only the categories verified through official county materials are promised below. Fields not exposed in the public interface must be confirmed with ACSO.

Booking IdentifierLinks a request to the county booking cycle when known.
Identity/Search ResultVerified as part of the public inmate lookup.
Current ChargesBooking or custody allegations, which may change after review.
BondCurrent bond information shown through the custody channel.
CustodyWhether the person appears in the current county custody system.
Booking PhotoAvailable by ACSO records request; not republished here.
Unverified FieldsDOB, physical traits, housing, court date, and release fields were not confirmed in the exposed interface.

Use the booking identifier or case-report number on an ACSO request when available. It helps records staff locate the right event. Do not treat a booking charge as the final court charge.

How Arapahoe Arrest Data Moves

After an arresting agency records probable cause, a custodial booking creates fingerprints and an intake cycle. Prosecutors then make an independent filing choice. The Colorado court opens a prosecution file only when charges are filed. CBI receives the fingerprint arrest cycle and later receives disposition reports, but an outcome can lag or be missing.

Record flow: Agency Report › Jail Booking › Prosecutor Review › Court Filing › Disposition Report to CBI

Aurora may first use its 72-hour detention center. ACSO, unincorporated-area, and Centennial arrests use county systems. This local split explains why an Arapahoe County jail search and an Aurora Police records request can both be needed for the same arrest trail.

Recent Arapahoe County Bookings

Arapahoe County provides an inmate lookup for present charges, bonds, and custody rather than a republished arrest gallery. Use it to answer a current jail question. For an older booking, submit a records request and provide the booking number, subject details, and date when known. The facility operates around the clock at 7375 S. Potomac Street in Centennial, and its main line is 720-874-3500.

A roster is time-sensitive. Release or transfer can remove a person from a current view, and a city arrest may begin in another holding facility. A missing name does not prove that no arrest occurred. It also says nothing by itself about whether prosecutors filed a case. Use an official Arapahoe County court search for that later stage.

Arapahoe Booking Photo Rules

The public requests an Arapahoe County booking photo through ACSO records staff. Direct Public Affairs release is reserved for credentialed media during weekday hours and requires the full name, date of birth, arresting agency, and an annual statement that the image will not be used for pecuniary gain. This distinction keeps the public channel with the records unit.

The current public fee is $2 plus research cost. The official warning matters more than the image: a probable-cause arrest does not mean charges were filed, and each person is presumed innocent unless proved guilty. No names or booking photos are republished here. Verify the later filed case through the court.

CCJRA permits access decisions, redaction, and reasonable actual costs. CRS 24-72-305.5 bars release for direct business solicitation for pecuniary gain.

Arrest Records vs Conviction Records

An Arapahoe County arrest record starts with the arresting agency and jail. A conviction record starts with a court judgment after a plea or trial. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation may place both the fingerprint-supported arrest cycle and a later reported disposition on one criminal-history report, but that combined product still depends on what agencies sent to CBI. For the exact court outcome, use the clerk's signed record.

Arrest RecordConviction Record
Created by an arresting agency and jailCreated by District, County, or Municipal Court
Shows an arrest or booking occurredShows a court entered a finding of guilt
Held by ACSO or the city police agencyHeld by the clerk and reported to CBI
May lead to release or no filed chargeMay lead to sentence, appeal, or sealing

Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt; prosecutors may decline charges, and filed cases can end in dismissal or acquittal.

Arapahoe Sheriff Records Office

The ACSO Records Section keeps sheriff case and booking records, not court dispositions. Its counter provides a direct fallback when the portal is unsuitable or a request needs close identification. Payment options include cash, check, money order, and qualifying cards or debit in person. Mail payment uses a check or money order payable to ACSO. Online Point&Pay accepts cards other than American Express, debit, or e-check and adds a vendor fee.

For an arrest made by Aurora or Littleton Police, request the agency report from that city's records unit. The county records office cannot replace the city custodian simply because the arrest occurred within Arapahoe County.
